Conscious Route & Sean El – Sinking LP (Album Review) @ConsciousRoute @TrueHoldRecords @ParkStreetPR

sinking lp

‘The Sinking’ LP is the latest release from the talented artist Conscious Route (CCF/SOS) with production from beat Sean El (United Front) and what a project it is too! Eighteen tracks of pure delightful boom bap with conscious flows with controversial punch-lines, this is one of our favourite albums to come from these shores this year. Wolverhampton’s BigDutty Deeze, Cambridge-based Dillah (B-illa), Edinburgh crew members Werd (SOS), Jordan Butler (SOS), and London-based singer Anna Fontana all contribute well, but for me the hidden gems are the solo joints. This is something special, best release from this camp so far. Ohhhh baby we like it raw!

Joe Blow & Ral Duke ‘Leviticus’ EP @JoeBlow_77 @RalDuke @ParkStreetPR

leviticus ep

SOUTH WALES rap veteran Joe Blow presents his latest release ‘Leviticus’, flanked by fellow Barry Town emcee Ral Duke, produced by QRED, and also featuring DJ Jaffa and New York based rapper Diabolic.

More good music from Joe Blow, a rapper that never fails to impress, as well enlisting the skills of Ral Duke, who together simply glide through a range of impressive tracks. The production is varied, but extremely well put together carving film sound-scapes and demonic soundtracks over rattling hard hitting breaks and beats. There is a massive sense of original here, something that a lot of UK acts are missing. This is one of the best things I’ve heard for ages, undiluted hard hitting monster music. You need this one on your iPod (especially if you hit the gym! Lol).

Joe Blow & Ral Duke ‘Leviticus’ EP (Tracklisting)

1. The Gods Are Here(Intro)
2. Ill Armchair
3. Sodom Feat. Diabolic
4. Stalk Them
5. No Place To Cry
6. Nylon Mask
7. Eye Of Newt
8. Gutter Level Exit(Outro)

Produced by QRED (Spektre, Dirtbag Committee, Cult Vadar), Cuts and scratches by DJ Jaffa.

Notoriety ‘Well Rested’ (Produced by GxWay) #Review @NotorietyMusic @ParkStreetPR

00 - Notoriety_Well_Rested_produced_Entirely_By_Gxway-front-large

As the summer comes and sun begins to finally fill the normal grey skies of the UK I really do feel the need for some quality Hip-Hop and that’s exactly what we have here. For all my ‘trapped in 90’s niggas’ this is one you need to get up on as this has shades of Pharcyde, Souls Of Mischief and Tribe mixed with that Black Hippy, Pro Era and Mac Miller kind of vibe. It’s got the vibe of golden ear hip-hop but isn’t dated like a lot of current ‘underground’ releases. The quality of the beats and the ryhmes is second to none making this is an absolute must for your iPod.

Notoriety ‘Well Rested’ (Produced by GxWay) FreEP – Tracklisting:

01. MI-6 (Produced by GxWay)
02. 17-26-47 (Produced by GxWay)
03. Afternoon Program (Produced by GxWay)
04. Flossy (Produced by GxWay)
05. Break On Three (Produced by GxWay)
06. 5-Point Turn (Produced by GxWay)
07. Could It Be (Produced by GxWay)

Blasfima Sinna ‘Capital Letters 2’ (You Sonix Records) Review @BlasfimaSinna‎ @YouSonixRecords @ParkStreetPR

a1561627876_10

This is some dope Hip-Hop from Scotland to get your ears around, as Blasfima Sinna drops this heavyweight release featuring the likes of the well-respected English rapper living in Scotland, Conscious Route as well as well known names King Response and Werd of S.O.S. Big things happening on the production front too, with some amazing cuts by DJ U-Turn, who I believe is actually Blasfima Sinna under an alias! Blasfima Sinna spits raw, gritty and grimy but hits hard lyrically. This is a release that will cement him as an artist in underground Hip-Hop forever.

Arise King David – Free Music #Review @AriseKingDavid @ParkStreetPR

a1838646270_10

Here is another UK artist that has impressed me on first listen. It just seems the UK is really beginning to pull out all the guns and with rappers like Arise King David you can hear how the undiluted real Hip-Hop sound is slowly becoming more and more evident in the scene. His clear delivery and solid vocal tone move and swift over some banging production that takes you into his own lyrical ozone and void. There’s some killer tracks on this release. Make sure you grab this now.
