K.O.T.T aka Knights of The Turntables area four man Hip-Hop collective from Portsmouth and London that consist of King Solomon, (producer/emcee), Shang (emcee/lyricist), IC1 (emcee/lyricist) and DJ Alzee (turntablist/engineer). Brought together by a strong passion for underground Hip-Hop, K.O.T.T are about the real essence of the culture embracing a positive vibe through there art.

With a moral fibre maintained throughout their music, K.O.T.T have a very ‘hands on approach’ with samples and the Akai MPC3000 helping to create their sound. Influenced by the Hip-Hop ‘golden era’ their quality sound has already earned them slots on You Tube Channels and various artist mixtapes, as well as getting a strong response from some of the UK’s leading blogs and portals.

The early beginnings of K.O.T.T saw DJ Alzee team up with rapper Shang for their 2009 underground release ‘Enter The Shogun’. The team then took time out to develop their sound more and last year they dropped their international release ‘Deadly Alliance’ which featured producers from across the UK and Europe, as well as Asia and America. It was this collection of tracks that really got K.O.T.T noticed and set the levels for the future.

Fast forward to 2013 and K.O.T.T are set to have their biggest year to date. They are currently working on a brand new album entitled “River Styx” which produced entirely by King Solomon as well as mixtape with UK Runnings which will be hosted by Tricksta. To kick off their onslaught of 2013 releases, we get this superb six track EP which is a good insight to what K.O.T.T are about. Enjoy and share this free release and make sure you remember the name. Lost Alliance are Wolverhampton rappers & producers Hot Rox and Pact Prolific. Their first release was a self-titled EP in 2010 which was followed up by ‘The Second Coming’ a year later. This EP had music videos for the tracks ‘Spotlight’ and ‘In My Mind’, two tracks that still rock the spot at even now at live shows. In May 2012 they where involved in the collaborative EP ‘Business Amongst Men’ with fellow Wolverhampton recording artist Charlie Bwoy H which again was well received by Hip-Hop fans. Lost Alliance are true to the essence of real Hip-Hop with a trademark Boom-Bap sound and raw but conscious lyrics.

In the summer of 2012 Hot Rox & Pact hooked up with UK Runnings mixtape deejay & producer Tricksta, to discuss plans for their new album. This was the start of a connection that led to Lost Alliance being booked for Tricksta’s Hip-Hop events Beats & Bars and Live & Direct where Lost Alliance shared stages with the likes of Rodney P, Blak Twang, Mystro, Ty, Moorish Delta 7, Iron Braydz, Genesis Elijah, AC, Big Dutty Deeze, FDot1 and many more. Tricksta also got chosen as the official mixtape deejay to host & mix ‘Dare 2 Win’ which came out through UK Runnings in March, as well as Tricksta being commissioned to mix and master the Lost Alliance debut album ‘Life Cycle’.

Lost Alliance have been making noise on the internet two with exclusive freestyles/performances for Chromosome Live Lab, Urban Vibe UK, Big Fingz TV and B-iLLA TV, as well as featuring on over fifty of the leading UK blogs and having a strong local fan base. Now as they drop their debut album ‘Life Cycle’ the future looks so bright with performances planned this summer in Wolverhampton, Birmingham, Leamington Spa, Luton, London and more.
