Rediculus Presents Masters Of Conversation “Punchlines & Parables” (Album Review)
This is one album you need to be up on if you haven’t already copped it. In fact I would go as far as to say this is the best Hip-Hop album we’ve heard on an independent record label in 2011. ‘That’s a big statement’ I hear you cry but I’m going to break it down and tell you why I think the album is so good. This is a club free, mainstream radio free, auto-tune free monster of an album that injects funk, soul and originality where ever it can. This is one of favourite albums for a very long time and is a label I’m going to be watching over these next few years.
Rediculus is no new comer to the scene, but this is by far his biggest project to date. Prome, Solomon D’Augustine, Rich Malone, Ruste Juxx, Craig G, Koncept, Pair-a-Dyce, Stumik Icewater, Konflict, Kayser9soze, Sha Stimuli, Sadat X, Emilio Rojas, Gage-One, Gotchu, Da Pantha, Phantom, Chubb Rock, Lewi London, Shabaam Sahdeeq, Red Eye, DJ Ready Cee, Chaundon, The Audible Doctor, Vydle Sinez, Incredible Chuck, Big Dutty Deeze and Harvey Who all feature on this eighteen track album. It’s well produced and conceptually it deals with various life issues and all what you would expect from any great rap album.
Rediculus has the beats on lock and what I liked about this album is that he just doesn’t stick to one vibe he switches it up. The other thing we liked was hearing some good underground talent next to bigger more well known names. That’s a good look and a good drop that works well throughout the album. There is no doubting now that Rediculus has not only unleashed a great album in a time when there is so much watered down music, but has also released an album that has put himself and his label ‘Knowledge Giving Birth’ on the map. Simply put, this is excellent Hip-Hop music that takes the essence of the old skool and mixes it with ideas of the future. You have to admire the realness.

The Extended Players are without a doubt the seminal UK hip hop DJ crew. With a wealth of radio, production, battle and live experience its in the club that these boys really come alive consistently proving why they are the top dogs in the game. Tonight we have these four close friends playing for 4 hours straight back to back.

Having been rocking the airwaves together for the last 4 years these two know their craft and will be sure to be setting the dance-floor alight. With live experience DJing at huge festivals and live shows for Dizzee Rascal, Jay-Z & Roots Manuva to name a few, this is a rare chance to hear these them in such a close environment.
As two of the best producers and turntablists in the country Mr Thing & Harry Love will also be spinning 2 hours back to back with their usual expertly blended mix of hip hop and soul bangers. They have never failed to tear up every party they have played for The Doctor’s Orders and tonight is sure to be no exception.
Taking warm up duties, and making sure it is well worth getting down early, is Spin Doctor who as ever will be getting things bumping with his party friendly blends.
