Snoop Dogg ft. Uncle Chucc – Wonder What It Do

Jailhouse – Lockdown (Album Out now on iTunes)

There’s been no doubting that Sir Tomz and his label Jailhouse Records have been making noise. Sir Tomz is no new comer to the UK Hip-Hop scene and has indeed featured on, produced and remixed tracks for Big Dada Records including a Roots Manuva remix, as well as featuring on a compilation album by Tim Westwood. Sir Tomz has played live all over the UK, Spain, France and other European countries and is an artist with a vision and a work ethic to compliment it. With this experience in check and general passion for music running through his veins, Sir Tomz & Jailhouse are holding it for the Midlands and the whole of the UK.

‘Lockdown’ is the latest release from Jailhouse and is a must buy epic twenty track album. Featuring some of the finest artists in Birmingham the album features the talents of Sir Tomz, Nih’illi, Cyrus, Blackitude and Juice Aleem, and is produced entirely by Sir Tomz. Sir Tomz also decided to remix five of the tracks from the album over industry beats and then dropped two music videos for them both having over 4000 hits on You Tube. Remixes have been used on mixtapes from DJ Ames, as well the remixes being used on US released mixtape from DJ 5X & Coast2Coast Mixtapes ‘International Speaker Box 2′ which was hosted by Sir Tomz.

Support for the album from Hip-Hop fans has been overwhelming for an underground release with various leading websites all posting frequent news about the album release. New York based website RealHipHopDaily.com said ‘Jailhouse Ltd look like a camp to offer and with a more universal sound that a lot of the grime/pop rap that is coming from that side of the world’, while the long running UK website RagoMagazine.com said ‘there’s a lot of good music here, its Birmingham Hip-Hop with style, finesse and originality’ and UndergroundPhenomenon.com said ‘This is quality and a level above your average UK Hip-Hop album, this is a massive release that has been made with honesty, integrity and honour.’

Wale ft. Jeremih & Rick Ross – That Way

Jay Rock & Kendrick Lamar – Code Red

Danny Spice Feat Craig G (Juice Crew) – King Of The Beat

Vinyl purists Carry On Going Records bring you a slice of undiluted boom bap beats laced with hard knock rhymes from NY’s finest. “King Of The Beat” lifted from Danny Spice’s soon to be released debut full length “King Amongst Thieves” sees Juice Crew legend Craig G droppin’ science over a drum heavy drama & suspense style track.

Quote “Queens Bridge to UK/dudes say they make beats/but compared to us/you just coming wit dat fake heat”. Craig’s lines pay respect to both the producer as well as the age old art of crate digging. Having worked with the likes of Marley Marl, Large Professor, Pete Rock & DJ Premier to name but a few it’s no wonder the NY battle rapper is still going strong after 25 years in the business. No added preservatives here just pure uncut Hip Hop in its purist form some break beats, turn tables a sampler and an ill MC job done.

The limited edition individually hand numbered 300 pressing of the 7inch vinyl release has almost sold out in a matter of days, which gives you some indication of how big this track actually is! This is real Hip-Hop that bangs from start to finish produced by a talented beat-maker!

Make sure you are on the lookout for the full length album “King Amongst Thieves” from Danny Spice being released on Carry On Going Records real soon.
